This version has a slightly longer River TD, plenty of playability fixes and fixes/improves the bugs that prevented many other people from releasing their own maps.
There is also a difficulty modifier, so daring folks can try play the levels through with more difficulty. Try beat River TD on 2.0x difficulty, I DOUBLE DARE YA!

Mapdevs, check the updated leveldev.doc, the file formats are still the same but you can now override more of the images, check levels/test as an example šŸ™‚

ChangeLog:
Add ā€œHow To Playā€ level.
Difficulty multiplier. (bigger number = more enemy HP)
Show tower stats while placing one.
Add ā€œSave the houseā€ mode.
Show range rings when upgrading towers (Yes, you can upgrade towers! šŸ˜› select one on the map with X)
Show Wave XX/XX Text between waves.
Most game graphics customisable by level.
Fix loading levels made on windows.
Fix Quitting level in middle of wave stops player starting wave.
Fix points (Max 10 points / normal enemy, 40 points / boss. Quicker kill = more points)

    One item of my wishlist was ā€œmore file checkingā€, there is a bug if the png loaded is not in 24 or 32 bits, a 8 bits picture crashes DSPā€¦

    hey danzel,

    i like your game. a lot. but, your instructions on the ā€œhow to make your own levelā€ werenā€™t very explanatory. I looked at the river TD level text, and you donā€™t mention any of that in the level maker readme. Please, make you instructions way more specific and exact. then, release it.

    My instructions must be fairly good considering that more than 7 maps have been released by various authors on the QJ forums.
    Have you tried scrolling down in the leveldev.doc file? There is a totally of 6 pages describing the format of all the files you need to make.

    Thats something Iā€™m considering, will depend on the authors willingness however.

    Install the 32bit compatibility libraries and the 32bit one should work.
    Otherwise youā€™ll have to build it yourself, I donā€™t run 64bit linux.

    Hey there, Big fan of the game and just wanted to let you know (incase u hadnt found out yet) but the reason why DSP crashes isnt that much u have to change just rename the Submarine2 folder to redsubmarine, u had a submarine2 listed as redsubmarine in the .TXT file for your level

    Download any of the zip files above and it is included.
    Iā€™ve moved to an XML based level format since this release. It took me around an hour to port river td to the new level format.
    Hopefully Iā€™ll get a new release out by the end of the year šŸ™‚

    I have 5.00 m33 and im trying to load the game, but the screen turns black and stays like that, what am I doing wrong or is the game not compatible with this version

    Guess it doesnā€™t work on 5.00, wait till the next version, only a month max!

    Nope, there will be more in the new version when it gets released.

    There is a link in one of the other threads to some other maps, canā€™t remember which one though lol.
