AFKIM is an (almost) universal messenger client for PSP (Supports: AIM, ICQ, MSN, GTalk, Yahoo!)

Experimental OE version, tested in game310 folder with OE 3.10ā², seems to not work in 3.03
1.5 Version, tested in game150 folder on OE 3.10ā²
The OE Version works with WPA connections, you must use automatic network configuration however (DHCP)
EDIT: The OE version seems to work for most people on 3.03 OE-C
Iāve also made some guides to hopefully help new people get started with AFKIM.

I love this program on my old psp, but i broke that one and got a new one. I seem to have found out that afkim does not work with 3.30 that i know of

i would like to report an bug:
when i am connecting to my wifi access point, afkim suddenly says: connection status 6 of 4:p or something.
Anyway, the thing is that 6 of the 4 cannot exists.
Its not something that should be fixed quick but i am just telling you:p

Seems like something that was introduced in the 3.XX firmware.

I was wondering, is it possible to connect to the test server (testing.bitlbee.org)? Because Iāve been trying to get an account set up there and working with AFKIM v3. But AFKIM only ever gets to the āIdentifyingā part after it connects, then it just sort of sits there (it doesnāt crash).

Hi i was just wondering how hard would it be to add a beep for message notification? Afkim is already perfect but i cant hear it when i have a new message!
Not sure, never done sound on the PSP.
If anyone around has experience with it or experience with SDL audio then they could probably do it pretty easy.

I canāt get it to connect, tried all versions I could find and tried them in the GAME150 and in the GAME340 folder (I am using 340oea).
I think the problem is I am not using a WEP encrypted connection but an WPA-PSK (TKIP) connection.
I execute the program, select a connection (I have 2, selecy the second one), then it says:
connection state 2 of 4
connection to wifi failed
I never get the āconnection state 1 of 4ā (should I get this?)
am I doing something wrong?

The OE version should work from the GAME340 folder with a WPA connection, it does for me.
Make sure you are using DHCP (Automatic address configuration) however!
You should get a state 1 of 4, but sometimes it doesnāt show.
Test that your connection works in the network config thing.

it works until i wrote my icq number and password
then it writes the nick nema already exists , unable to make connesction
how is it possible
ok i maid it but i got another serious problem i got my contact list on my psp but every body see me as an offline why? how i could be online
and last question sorry but i donĀ“t know how to write it in the tread above so why the afkim 3 is still loging me off i want to be conected all the time iĀ“m there a it is writing reconnecting in 60 seconds but nothings happend
kures ā Sounds like you have a dodgy wifi or internet connection, try go closer to the wifi AP.
hm maybe it was some connection break it can be true but tell me pleaseeeeeeee why the others see me like offline all the time while iĀ“m on the afkim 3 a donĀ“t understand it I see everybody who is online i can write them a message but they get the message from an offline user like me why
and second question is why when i have instalen afkim 3 a start it then i wrote my nick and pasword and it wrote nack already exist unable to make account and i have to maid anoher name and password is it possible to pass by the registration and go straight to log in?

No idea why you donāt show as online.
If you read the README it tells you how to use an existing username and password, you have to enter them manually in the afkim.cfg file IIRC.
where i can find the readme file? i have downloaded afkim 3 a there wasnĀ“t any

and did you hear about somebody who is still offline too? and managed to fix it?
In the AFKIM folder there is a file āREADMEā.
Open it in wordpad.
Havenāt heard of anyone else with the show offline issue.
hey danzel. i need your help. regarding afkim3, i have tested it on my 3.03oe-c psp. it wouldnt go pass resolving. however the past few versions of afkim have been working fine. thereās no problem with the router or whatever.

im scewed cuz u cant downgrade psp firmware 3.5 so i cant use this in anyway unless we can figure out how to make one that works for psp 3.5. send me the program u use to make this and i can work on makeing it work for my psp.
